Obviously I cannot speak for the owners. Leixlip Castle is a private home which the owner, the Hon. Desmond Guinness, was always glad to share with visitors. Insofar as I am aware, the opening of the castle and the gardens has not really changed, but Mr. Guinness' is elderly and his health is not what it used to be. The grounds should be fine for anyone who is reasonably fit, but the castle is not really wheelchair accessible. It probably will be advisable to check with the owners for visits to the castle.
