The FBI has disrupted a group of Chinese hackers who were working at the direction of the Chinese government to infiltrate critical infrastructure in the U.S.

Flax Typhoon is said to have targeted critical infrastructure, corporations, media organizations, universities and government agencies.

The group was run by a Chinese company that ‘collected intelligence and performed reconnaissance for Chinese government security agencies’.
