A Powerball ticket sold in Florida won $2 million but just missed the $197 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched five winning numbers and the Power Play but not the Powerball, in the drawing Saturday, Sept. 21, the national Powerball site said.

The Powerball winning numbers are in for the Saturday, Sept. 21 drawing with a jackpot that reached an estimated $196.8 million ($98.1 million cash value). The largest winning Powerball jackpot ticket sold in Michigan was worth $842.

The Powerball jackpot rises to $195 million for Saturday's drawing after no one claimed the prize on Wednesday. Almost a month ago, a lucky California player won a $44.3 million Powerball jackpot in August, the lottery announced. The week before, a Pennsylvania player won the $213.8 million jackpot.
