Connecticut State Police and Enfield police are searching for the driver of a red pickup truck who left the scene of a crash involving a motorcycle Friday afternoon.

A pickup truck driver tried to pass another vehicle by speeding up on a rainy day but instead, he crashed, causing his passenger to receive fatal injuries, and now he is facing charges, court documents show.

According to state police, they were looking for a driver who fled the scene. Enfield police reported that the crash happened on Somers Road. They said the road closed at Somers and Moody roads, right on the Somers town line.
