A soldier for Yemen’s exiled government has opened fire on Saudi troops as they exercised in eastern Yemen, killing two of them and wounding another in a rare insider attack during the kingdom’s nearly decadelong war there.

The United States and the United Kingdom have launched air strikes in Yemen, including the capital, Sanaa, a television station run by the Houthi rebel group has reported, with the Pentagon saying it targeted advanced weapons storage facilities in the raids.

The US carried out a series of strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen late Saturday evening, according to a US defense official, targeting numerous weapons storage facilities across at least three locations.
