Veterans visit DC Vietnam War memorial, reflect on Veteran’s Day
After several events on D.C.’s National Mall commemorating Veteran’s Day, many veterans and family members paid their respects to fallen soldiers at the area memorials. The veterans told DC News Now the day was important for them to feel seen and appreciated,

“You’re seen, you’re honored, you’re appreciated,” Jeff Reinbold, superintendent of the National Mall and Memorial Parks, said to the more than 200 visitors at the start of the 90-minute ceremony at the memorial, the most visited war monument on the mall.
