Former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam raised concerns about the issue on Saturday, describing it as a "very dangerous conspiracy" against Sanatan Dharma.

The controversy over the 'prasadam' erupted after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu claimed on September 18 that under Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's government, animal fat and substandard ingredients were used in the preparation of Tirupati laddus.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has vowed to initiate a "cleansing process" across all temples in the state following allegations of animal fat being used in Tirupati laddus. This move aims to respect religious sentiments and restore the sanctity of temples.

This comes after Naidu and the TDP alleged that during the previous YSRCP government, ingredients such as beef tallow, lard, and fish oil were used in the preparation of Tirumala laddus.

In the letter, the Jagan Mohan Reddy said that Naidu's "reckless" and "politically motivated" statements hurt the sentiments of devotees and "tarnished the sanctity" of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board.
