Meta has banned Russian-controlled media from its platform due to their covert operations. The company fears that these media platforms will engage in deceptive practices going forward too.

The Facebook and Instagram owner said it would bar Russian media outlets including RT, which the U.S. has accused of acting as an intelligence arm.
