Purdue football needed to respond to last week's historic wipeout by Notre Dame with an early, confident response against Oregon State. Instead, the Boilermakers fell into a two-touchdown hole from which they could not recover in a 38-21 loss at Reser Stadium.

Oregon State wore brand-new gray uniforms Saturday against Purdue, but the game itself was more of a throwback night. Both Oregon State and Purdue will enter Saturday’s game thinking “it can only go up from here, right?” Oregon State took another step toward filling out its 2025 schedule by adding a game against Wake Forest.
