Two small planes collided mid-air near Lancaster, California - just outside of Los Angeles - on Sunday, killing one of the plane's pilot. Both planes were flown by a solo pilot and, fortunately, had nobody else on board.

One person was killed and another person escaped with no injuries from a mid-air crash of two Cessna aircrafts Sunday in Lancaster, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 12:50 p.m., according to a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster station.
