DEERFIELD, Ill. – A Metra train was delayed in Deerfield Tuesday afternoon after. Metra initially said MDN train #2140 on the Milwaukee North Line was stopped in the 800 block of Deerfield Road just north of the Deerfield station after hitting a pedestrian.

CHICAGO (CBS) — Metra trains are stopped Friday morning in Chicago after a train struck a pedestrian. Outbound Union Pacific North train No. 305 is stopped near the Clybourn station, location at 2001 N. Ashland Ave, due to the crash. Inbound and outbound train service is halted.

A busy suburban Metra train line was halted during the Friday morning commute and "extensive delays" were expected after a pedestrian was struck, Metra said.
