May 5, 2022 · The Freedompop plan is a lot better. As opposed to the Textnow phones, the Freedompop phone never misses a call. Missed calls and texts happens all the time to my phones that are on the Textnow network. Ran the Freedompop data all the way down to between 5 and 10 mps in the last couple of days as a test. Still continued to work.

Jan 5, 2023 · The free GSMT Walmart plan 300/1000/100 probably cannibalizes on the $30 200/1000/200 annual plan from Red Pocket since they are so similar. In a free market, RP would need to compete by increasing data cap for the $30 plan to distinguish themselves or give some perks like unlimited 2G after 200MB.

You have to set your data warning and data limit to 5MB and keep mobile data off with the free plan. I think you can switch back to the free plan next month. For the free plan to be free you have to be on WiFi all of the time.

Jun 11, 2016 · Basically Freedompop sells data and all they sell is data. All voice and texts are done through their VoIP (voice over IP) app. Which if you read other post and from personal experience is plain HORRIBLE. Everybody here (myself included) recommend using Google Voice/Hangouts.

It seems that FreedomPop only offers those plans tied to the SIM card numbers sold via Target/Walmart, and since you'd be bypassing activation of the physical SIM, that plan wouldn't be available.

Mar 18, 2022 · There's a report on nth-circle that their latest renewal had a charge for the 911 fee. This would explain why Freedompop requires a CC on file now. That report ALSO says the payment method was NOT actually charged that $0.40, 911 fee. Also, that same thread says a payment method is NOT required to be on file, if doing manual renewals.
